So,we're leaving for Kentucky in a few days. Kentucky?  Good Lord! Why Kentucky?   (I ask the questions for y'all...that just the kind of sweetheart I am)

   We're after the Colonel's secret recipe,of course.   Ok,not.

Our oldest is at Fort Knox doing Basic Training. He's in the Army, training to be a Cavalry Scout. There's a small break in between Basic and his job training called Family Weekend.  We'll get him for a whole 48 hours!!  I'm so excited I could die. Which I won't cause that would be silly and deprive me of the chance to see the boy.  But I could and that's what's important here!

I'm so proud of this kid I could burst. This is most likely the sappiest y'all will ever see me on here, but I had to brag about my kid, cause he is just so cool.  Just think,I gave the Army a smartassed video game addict and they're giving me back a smartass who's too tired to play video games!

Anybody know any cool things we should see or do in that vicinity?  I'd love to hear from you.

NO idea about things to do in Kentucky. And to be honest, it seems to me that the first KFC is acutally in Utah. But that may be an urban legend. Just have fun with your son, take lots of pictures, and make some memories!!

We actually bought our very first video camera just for the occasion. Of course we've been using it to tape the baby and the puppy wrestling, which by the way is movie GOLD,I tell ya! Soon as Hubby transfers some photos from his puter to mine,I'll be sharing them. Can't deprive the internet of the chnce to see my gorgeous kids.

I was born in Kentucky, but moved out of state in order to have a life. But it does have beautiful countryside and I love it for the camping. And, congratulations!
